  • There is something obscenely human about that fish...maybe something to do with the sight of the eyes and the face. Which means I am being a wimpy hypocrite, since I do eat fish. Dunno.

  • I stumbled across your blog recently, and was deeply impressed by it. Perhaps the proximity helped- I lived in Cairo all last year (actually, right next to Bab el-Luq) and it was good to hear someone writing about the city with the sensitivity it deserves.

Take a peak at my blog, if you like. It's an eye into what it's like to be a foreigner, stumbling through Cairo and understanding less than half of what's going on around her. Though I'll warn you, nothing's been written recently.

Keep writing. I'm interested to hear more stories, and you write exceptionally well.

    Best,

    Torie
